Day One
Where did you go? The first day of our trip we stayed at the Airbnb and played games, swam, and ordered pizza from Geno’s. Our Airbnb was right outside of Gatlinburg so we had privacy but were very close to everything in downtown, which was super convenient when looking for places to deliver!
What was your favorite part of the day? Playing games to celebrate the Bride-to-be and swimming in the pool!
Tips/Wish I would have known: Nothing.
Day Two
Where did you go? We started the day with breakfast at the Pancake Pantry, then did some shopping at The Village. After some shopping we went to the local wineries/cider houses/etc. and did some tastings! Some personal favorites of ours were the Tennessee Cider Co. and Little Bear Winery! Had to buy from both places, they were too good to pass up! Around 1pm we traveled to the Apple Barn Cider House and the Apple Barn Winery where we did some tastings. Cannot say enough about their ciders, some of the best we’ve had! At 2pm we were scheduled for a VIP Shuttle Wine Tour with Rocky Top Wine Trail. They picked us up at the Apple Barn Winery and took us to Mountain Valley Winery, Mill Bridge Winery, and Hillside Winery. We were given six samples at every location, a cheese tray at Hillside Winery, and super cute swag bags! After the tour we went back to our Airbnb to change and had a fun dressed-up evening out and about. For dinner we ate at Junction 35 in Pigeon Forge, which had incredible food and really great moonshine! We went and explored the night life at The Island, which included a moonshine tasting at Ole Smokey Moonshine, a drink at Dude’s Daiquiris, a margarita at Margaritaville, drinks at Yee-Haw Brewing Company, and a wine tasting at Bootleggers Winery.
What was your favorite part of the day? The wine tour! It was a great time and you definitely got your money’s worth! We also really enjoyed roaming around The Island that evening, the night life/atmosphere was great and the Bride-to-Be was congratulated all night!
Tips/Wish I would have known: Check all of the brochure booklets and coupon books as you can before heading out! There are a ton of discounts for wineries, moonshine distilleries, etc. and some coupons get you free glasses with your purchase!
Day Three
What did you do? For breakfast we tried Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. Everything there is served family style and there’s plenty to go around! After we ate did a little more shopping around The Island, then headed towards Gatlinburg for more shopping at The Village. For lunch we went back to our Airbnb to grill out and swim. That evening we decided to head to Anakeesta to enjoy a drink at their beer garden while enjoying some live music! For dinner that night we went to Cherokee Grill, which was a great place to end our evening!
What was your favorite part of the day? Shopping! It’s always so fun going to the different shops and finding things to take home to remind you of your trip!
Tips/Wish I would have known: Paula Deen’s only serves breakfast until 10:15, and their typically busy, so make sure you arrive early if you want to eat there!
Day Four
What did you do? We woke up and packed our things, as we had to head home today! We decided to have one last breakfast at The Apple Barn, do some last minute shopping in their General Store, and, of course, bought some last minute cider and wine!
What was your favorite part of the day? The Apple Barn! Always a favorite, and the apple muffins and fritters are incredible!
Tips/Wish I would have known: The Apple Barn is notoriously busy, so make sure you arrive early if you aren’t willing to wait for a table!
